According to the Ontario birth registration (1890 #013937), Bertha Kilpatrick Mahood (daughter of William J Mahood, merchant, and Elizabeth Routley) was born in Kingston, 14 August 1890.
According to the Ontario marriage registration (1916 #009767), Bertha Kilpatrick Mahood (daughter of William J Mahood and Elizabeth Routley) married Howard Lawrence Scott in Kingston, 4 December 1916.

In hospital on Saturday, February 2, 1991 in her 101st year. Bertha Mahood, wife of the late Howard L. Scott; dear mother of David Mahood Scott and Mrs. James H. Laird (Isabel). Grandmother of David, Katherine and Janet Laird. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Tuesday, February 5, from 7 p.m. until service time in the chapel at 8 p.m. Private cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, 60 Cambridge Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1R 7A5.
