Buenos Aires unfortunately has many memorials to the many people who were assassinated or disappeared during it tumultuous political struggles. This one honors Gaston Riva with an inscribed tilework which reads:

"GASTON RIVA

Asesinado por la represión political
en la rebelión popular del 12/20/2001"

A poem is included below.

Nearby is a sculpture which has two tire rims separately attached to two short beams....one about a foot higher than the other. The higher one is about 4.5 feet above the ground. It is not certain whether the sculpture is part of the memorial..but it probably is.
