The whole Ahrtal was and is a wine-growing area.
We could find grape presses in every village and in all kinds of size.
The big ones nowadays are used as decoration for the town sign or promotion signs, mostly for local winemakers.
The smaller presses are used for decoration, often covered with flowers or ivy.
Most of these presses are in a very good condition cause they are well-kept by their owner.
