Er setzte sich insbesondere mit der sozialen Frage auseinander und ist Gründer des nach ihm benannten Kolpingwerks, dem derzeit weltweit etwa 400.000 Mitglieder angehören (Stand August 2013). "

About the destination:
While walking around in the little village Dernau we could find a lot of unique old houses and nice details everywhere. At the building near the church, which is used as a rectory we see the relief plaque near the entrance.
