Die Katholische Pfarrkirche „St. Nikolaus“ in Vischel war einst die zentrale Kirche für die umliegenden Orte – bis diese ihre eigenen Kirchen bekamen. Im Jahr 1904 wurde der Anbau einer Grabkapelle an die katholische Pfarrkirche "St. Nikolaus" Vischel für den zwei Jahre zuvor verstorbenen Reichsgrafen Dietrich Wolf Metternich fertiggestellt.Gleich neben der Kirche befindet sich der Friedhof mit Kriegsopfer-Denkmal. "
