Sweeten Cemetery is located on the north edge of the town of Inola on Broadway. This is a cemetery containing approximately 413 burial sites.
Leonard Ross' tree stump marker is partially hidden by foliage, and is contained in a small area bordered by stones. At each of the four corners is a small stone stump about 18 inches high. This is the first time we have ever seen this type of configuration for a WOW memorial.
At the top of the headstone are engravings of leaves, and the tree stump stands on four horizontal logs. The inscription is on a scroll, hanging from a rope and reads:
