Hartford neighborhoods have erected monuments to honor the service men and women who served during World War II. The Parkville neighborhood in the west side of Hartford has erected this 10' high granite monument to honor its local citizens. The monument contains the representation of a globe which is inscribed:

U.S.A.

A tapered shaft below the globe is inscribed:
