On the north east side of Trumpington Street there is the Pembroke College "Red Building", designed by Alfred Waterhouse, that has an array of gargoyles.

The stone gargoyles, that appear to be decorative, are lightly weathered.

The Red Building is Grade II listed with the entry at the Historic England website telling us:

Red Building. 1871-2. By A Waterhouse. Louis XII style. Dark red brick with stone dressings. Asymmetrical composition ends with picturesque tower with excessively steep French pavilion roof. 2 storeys and attics. 2 light transomed windows. Slate roof.
