Wallace Gap Road (unsealed & 12 kilometres in length) connects the village of Majors Creek with the bitumen road that crosses the Shoalhaven River. Back Creek was barely flowing but a local landholder had poisoned the introduced weed blackberry so that was good to see. My late father told me many years ago that the planks on these bridges rumble when you cross them to ensure termites can't get a foothold.
