A sleepy town in the MetroWest region of Massachusetts, where simple life and suburanality meet. This is Ashland, in the western part of Middlesex County. Lying along the MBTA commuter rail line to Worcester, the town of Ashland was only incorporated in 1846. Their simple town hall thereafter would remain their governmental center until this very day. Near the railroad tracks that gave Ashland much of its life, Ashland Town Hall (also referred to as Ashland Town House) is a classical example of an understated town headquarters.
