This historical cairn is missing its plaque. It is located at a rest stop just east side of Hwy 9, 22 km South of the town of Hudson Bay.

Red Deer Lake Trail

This is the half way point on the old trail between Nut Lake in the southwest and Red Deer Lake to the west.

Fort Rivière a la Biche was built north of here in 1787 by the North West Company.
