A Barque is a large sailing ship with 3 or more masts.

The Grave stone reads; "In loving Memory of Captain Edwin Bush,
of the Barque Pathfinder of Swansea, who was drowned at sea off Bootle, Cumberland, during a storm on Aug 26 1881 whilst on his Homeward Voyage, from Bull River, South America.

Aged 35 Years His remains are interred here, Also Jane his Wife, died July 19th 1906 aged 75 years."
