The current Courthouse on Bridge Street was built in 1980, and opened 10th November, 1980. However court 'has been in session' since 1851 on location.

1851 saw "Completion of the Court House - Designed by late Colonial Architect. 3 rooms, the middle one sufficiently large to hold Quarter Sessions; Ornamental stone at the front. Contractor Henry Nowland".
