The memorial is along a walkway in the cemery. The monument is on a small patch of dirt with a plaque resting on a headstone. The plaque reads: "Dedicated to those that served with the First Marine Division, FMF who gave their lives in the service of their country. World War II, China, Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq."
