EN: The sundial at the Church of Ziefen is located above the side entrance to the nave. The sundial is undated, but for stylistic reasons, it must be much younger than the church. The sundial has a round dial plate in white, red and gold; the gnomon is mounted above the dial. The sundial is pretty close under the roof, so that in summer a part of it lies in the shadow. To the left of the sundial there is a noon mark with a hole-gnomon.
DE: Die Sonnenuhr an der Kirche von Ziefen befindet sich über den Nebeneingang zum Kirchenschiff. Die Sonnenuhr ist nicht datiert, aus stilistischen Gründen muss sie aber viel jünger sein als die Kirche. Die Sonnenuhr hat ein rundes Zifferblatt in weiss, rot und Gold; der Zeiger ist oberhalb des Zifferblatts befestigt. Die Sonnenuhr ist ziemlich nah unter dem Dach angebracht, so dass im Sommer ein Teil von ihr im Schatten liegt. Links neben der Sonnenuhr befindet sich noch ein Mittagsweiser mit einem Loch-Gnomon.
