EN: This wooden cross stands at the road from the aerial lift station of Belalp to the viewpoint over the Aletsch Glacier at Aletschbord.
The simple wooden cross is about three meters high and is south of the path to a small ridge. On the cross, a small bronze statue is mounted, but it is oriented towards the Rhone Valley and not to the road.
DE: Dieses Holzkreuz steht am Weg von der Seilbahnstation Belalp zum Aletschbord, wo sich der Aussichtspunkt über den Aletschgletscher befindet.
Das einfache Holzkreuz ist etwa drei Meter hoch und steht auf einer kleinen Erhöhung südlich des Wegs. Am Kreuz ist eine kleine Bronzestatue befestigt, die aber nicht zum Weg sondern zum Rhonetal hinunter sieht.
