This is an enormous terminal, the center of it being an enormous oval structure around which the departures take place. As the name suggests, this is the place where most buses to Southern Iran depart. Considering Tehran is located in the north of the country and that the capital city has around 14 million inhabitants, one can imagine how busy is this station.
There are plenty of city buses around and also a metro station.
