The Kerang Memorial Municipal Chambers opened on 25th March 1927, and in the entrance porch are two bronze tablets commemorating the 175 men who never returned home.
The top of each plaque is inscribed with the words :-
"THESE MEN LAID DOWN
THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR
KING AND COUNTRY IN
1914 THE GREAT WAR 1919"
