The stone curb in front of the First Baptist Church in downtown Cisco still holds two kinds of iron hitching rings used a century or more ago to tether the horses that brought their owners to worship here.

The rings are located along Avenue E (the old Bankhead Highway) from the corner with 9th Street. Some rings are still intact, while in other spots only the metal clasps that held the rings are in place.
