The memorial consists of a relief sculpture showing Ferdinand Veike with a puppet coming out of the outer wall of the Estonian State Puppet Theater in Tallinn's Old Town. The sculpture was created by Estonian sculptor Tauno Kangro in 2004. It was placed at the occasion Veike's 80th birthday. Two plaques below the sculpture include the following inscriptions:

Ferdinand Veike (13 November 1924 - 14 August 2015) was the founder and long-time director of the Estonian State Puppet Theater.
