Start from the Pole Creek Trailhead which is generally SW, 12.2 miles by road from the Sisters Ranger Station. From the west end of the parking lot, travel generally NNW on FR1500-700 for about 0.7 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe in mound of stones; rising 9"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a prominent LOCATION POSTER, and the corner is about 90' SW from the road. Found three trees (one snag) with partly healed blazes, yellow BEARING TREE tags and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs on the backsides. In addition, there is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears N, 3' distant.
