The grain elevator is very prominent, easily the tallest building in the small town of Claude. It is easily-spotted by travelers along US 287.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1964 (JCC) STATION WAS NOT DESCRIBED IN 1951. IT IS LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF CLAUDE AND IS ABOUT 150 FEET IN HEIGHT. THE CENTER OF THE HIGHEST PART WAS INTERSECTED.
