Located outside of the main hanger at Pima Air & Space Museum is a static display that contains a United States Air Force Ground Launched Cruise Missile, a Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL) and a Launch Control Center (LCC). There are also 11 plaques that stand in front of the elevated cruise missile. One of the plaques is dedicated to the servicemen and women involved with the cruise missile and it reads:

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
GROUND LAUNCHED
CRUISE MISSILE
1981-1991

DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO
COMMITTED THEMSELVES TO THE SUCCESSFUL
DEPLOYMENT OF THE GROUND LAUNCHED
CRUISE MISSILE WEAPON SYSTEM.

THEIR COMMITMENT RESULTED IN
THE HISTORIC SIGNING OF
THE INTERMEDIATE-RANGE
NUCLEAR FORCES TREATY WITH THE
SOVIET UNION ON DECEMBER 8, 1987.

Description of Memorial:
This static display makes quite a presence in this part of the museum grounds. The whole ground launched cruise missile military package is on display here and gives visitors a closeup inspection of what pieces of technology were utilized by military personnel to keep the peace. The accompanying interpretive displays of the cruise missile system help educate those who want to learn more about this piece of technology.
