Impressive bas-relief sculpted in bronze affixed to the base of the 85' monument in Oriskany Battlefield State Historic Site, off Rte 69 south of Rome.
It is one of two bas-relief pieces on the monument. The other features a Patriot repelling an Indian fighter and a British soldier.
This piece, by artist M.J. Power, dates from 1883.
