The Mountain Mill was completed in 1999 by local artist, Bruce Murray Brady.

In addition to cattle ranching, Pincher Creek had a rich logging history. The mural depicts the Mill developed in 1879 on Mill Creek; 8 miles west of Pincher Creek.

The mill was used to saw logs and grind grain and was in operation until 1902 when high water destroyed a significant part of the sawmill.

Shown is the train trestle bridge that was nearby and was 198 feet high and at the time, in 1911, was the longest bridge in Canada.

This is a large mural with deep colors and shows several scenes typical of a day in the life of a logger. One logger, pushing logs uses the pole for balance while oxen pull wagons loaded with logs to the mill.

This is the third mural sponsored by the Chamber of Economic Development.
