[FR] Les vins révèlent assez vite le fruité typique du sauvignon, surtout Les Angelots, sur un terroir calcaire, et le sancerre issu du secteur de Thauvenay. Les terrains marneux de Villa Paulus exigent deux ans de plus pour s’épanouir, c’est une cuvée de tête de l’appellation. Les Pierres de Pierre affiche un sauvignon intermédiaire de vieilles vignes sur silex, plus svelte que Villa Paulus. Dans un style gras et fumé, le Tradition Cullus est vinifié en fûts de 600 litres.

Michelle et Jean-Michel Masson ont créé le DOMAINE MASSON-BLONDELET en 1975. En 1980, ils construisent, au cœur du village de Pouilly, une cave enterrée sur 3 niveaux pour travailler par gravité. En 2000, ils sont rejoints par leurs deux enfants, Mélanie et Pierre-François Masson, septième génération de vignerons au Domaine. Nos 21 Hectares de vignes AOC de SAUVIGNON BLANC et Pinot Noir sont plantés sur les meilleurs terroirs en coteaux orientés Sud/Sud Est et profitent d’un micro-climat créé par la Loire, classée en réserve naturelle à cet endroit.

Ils n'ont pas utilisé D’ENGRAIS CHIMIQUE depuis plus de 35 ans et PAS de DÉSHERBANT, NI D’INSECTICIDE depuis 2002 ! Le travail de leurs sols est déterminant puisqu’en binant régulièrement leurs sols, ils favorisent depuis plus de trois décennies l’expression de chacun de leurs trois Terroirs de Pouilly-Fumé.

MASSON-BLONDELET est aujourd’hui célèbre pour sa recherche permanente de la qualité et de la plus pure expression du Sauvignon blanc sur ce terroir ligérien unique et préservé.


Il existe 3 grands Terroirs sur l’AOC Pouilly-Fumé : Marnes Kimméridgiennes, Silex et Calcaires durs. Ayant planté des vignes sur ces trois sols différents, nous avons choisi (depuis plus de 35 ans maintenant !) de vinifier séparément chacun d’eux.

Leur POUILLY-FUMÉ ‘LES ANGELOTS’ est récolté sur des Calcaires de Villiers.

Le POUILLY-FUMÉ ‘VILLA PAULUS’ provient de leurs Marnes Kimméridgiennes et le POUILLY-FUMÉ ‘LES PIERRES DE PIERRE’ est récolté sur des Silex.

[EN] In 1980, in the heart of the village of Pouilly, they built a buried cellar on 3 levels to work by gravity. In 2000, their two children Mélanie and Pierre-François joined them. They are the seventh generation of winemakers of the estate. Their 21 hectares of vines of SAUVIGNON BLANC and Pinot Noir are planted on slopes on the best terroirs of the AOC. They are oriented South/South-East and can benefit of a micro-climate created by the Loire River. At this place, the river is classified as a natural reserve.

They haven't used chemical fertilisers for more than 35 years and they haven't used weed killer nor insecticides since 2002! The ploughing of the soil is crucial. Their soil is regularly tilled, in this way, promoting the expression of each of their 3 terroirs of Pouilly-Fume for more than three decades.

MASSON-BLONDELET is famous today for its constant research of quality and of the purest expression of Sauvignon Blanc on this unique and preserved Loire Valley terroir.
