Wilfred Snyder was born in 1901 and passed away in 2004 at the age of 103. He married Jessie Olive Munro in 1958. They had two daughters; Leona and Donna. Wilfred had one brother; Loyal Abram.
During Wilfred's lifetime; some of the events that took place were World Wars I and II and the Korean War. Also events that took place, locally, were the Frank Slide and the Hillcrest Explosion. Alberta became a province of Canada in 1905.
Also occurred were in 1981 the West Edmonton Mall opened, becoming the world's largest shopping center at that time and in 1988 the Winter Olympics were held in Calgary.

The Didsbury Cemetery is one of the larger cemeteries in the area and is within the Mountain View County. There are approximately 2,200 interments and is about 10 acres in size. It is still active with the last known burial was in 2014. The cemetery was most like established in the early 1900s. We did location one individual, Wilfred Snyder who was born in 1901 and died in 2004 at the age of 103.
Didsbury is approximately the half-way point between the cities of Calgary and Red Deer.
The town is named after the township of Didsbury, now a suburban area of Manchester, England. The first settlers were Dutch Mennonites who left their homes in Pennsylvania and emigrated as United Empire Loyalists to Waterloo County, Ontario. They were granted the area around Didsbury in 1894 by the government of Sir John A. MacDonald.
In the 2011, Didsbury had a population of 4,957.
