This small, dual-sided headstone has the floral detail that is common of many zinc markers. On the front is a cross with a garland of flowers -- rose prominent -- and the following inscription:

Ballard,

February 18, 1861,

Died
April 5, 1883,

22 Y'rs 1 Mo. 18 Dys.

On the plinth is an epitaph:

Where immortal spirits reign,
There we shall meet again.

The reverse of the monument has a depiction of two angels praying, and another epitaph on the plinth:

Gone from our home,
But not from our hearts.
