In 1992, the Institute for Creation Research founded the Museum of Creation and Earth History in Santee, California. ICR developed the exhibits with a mission to equip believers with evidence of the Bible's accuracy and authority through scientific research, educational programs, and media presentations, all conducted within a thoroughly biblical framework.

Upon ICR's move to Texas in 2008, the museum was sold to Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc. Scantibodies owner Tom Cantor and wife Cheryl founded the nonprofit 501c3 ministry Light and Life Foundation, which owns and operates the museum. Renamed the Creation & Earth History Museum, it continues creation evangelism, offering resources and monthly activities to its visitors.

The Creation & Earth History Museum is dedicated to the biblical account of science and history. The facilities include a 10,000-square-foot showcase for a literal six-day creation and young earth, with an emphasis on God's design in creation.
