The creation of "The Pont-d'Arc Cave" is a project which is both cultural, science and technology, unique in its design and in its size (3500 m2 and 8180 m2 of geological facies - soil walls ceilings) making it the largest cave replica adorned the world.

Major of the original cavity are returned in scale 1 by artists and sculptors. Portions of 30 to 40 meters where it happens not much have been removed, so that only (3 000 m2 of 8500 from the original cave are replicated, thus avoiding the work of budget be doubled.

The ambition is to achieve as realistic as possible imitation cave where we find the characteristics of the underground environment whose freshness, moisture and darkness. The space includes a facsimile of the original cave, a discovery center where it is possible to become familiar with the Paleolithic, its fauna, its flora, its paleoclimate, country and humanity there are 35000 years through an educational center and a temporary exhibition space, complemented by a restaurant and a shop.
