[FR] Actuellement, le rez-de-chaussée est consacré aux collections archéologiques, de la préhistoire à la fin des temps gallo-romains. Une de ces salles expose notamment 220 stèles gallo-romaines et des décors provenant de la Bourges antique.

Le prestige d’Avaricum, capitale de l’Aquitaine antique, se traduit par de nombreux vestiges gallo-romains : vaisselle de bronze, de verre, de terre cuite, peintures murales, mosaïques...

[EN] Bourges-Avaricum was the capital of the ancient province of Aquitaine.

The lapidary section includes a large number of funeral items (220 steles), as well as fragments of religious architecture and sculptures.

Daily 10h-12h and 14h-18h. Closed Tuesdays.
