On November 3, 1970 the Council of the Municipality Itterbeck decided to adopt the described below from Heraldiker Hans Heinrich Reclam from Osnabrück designed coat of arms.

Coat Description : "In gold a green wave oblique Links bar, beseitet top three, down four green balls."

The colors play on the first part of the name in (Itter = heath), the sand and the vegetation. The wave diagonally left bar represents the stream contained in the name of the community. The bullets that appear in the coat of arms of the district and some neighboring towns (as so-called "Bentheimer pennies") are here completely pushed to the edge, so the location of Itterbeck near the border to indicate. Their number corresponds to the Itter Becker districts.
