This sculpture is located on the Kansas State Capitol grounds, on the north west side of the square. It was dedicated and donated by the Boy Scouts of America in 1950. The statue itself is facing north west, away from the capitol. It seems to be in better condition than the original statue of liberty on Liberty Island in New York City.
