In Boston's Downtown Crossing district is 93-101 Arch Street, which has a date near the top of the building of 1873.

The building is located on the north side of the street and integrated with the block of buildings where the Millennium Tower is rising. It is on the right side of an entrance (when facing the building). It is a stone-faced building with both tan and dull red colors. There are many interesting details such as the carved half-columns and the ledge near the top floor. In the center and just above the windows of the top floor is the year 1875. Also, there is another dated block with 1875 above the first floor and a carving similar to the Harvard University Coat of Arms.

The building is considered part of the High Victorian Gothic Style. The architects were Peabody and Stearns.

The building was one of the first to be built after the great fire of 1872 that took out most of what is now the Downtown Crossing and Financial District areas. Harvard University likely invested in this building.
