This memorial consists of a bronze plaque which reads: "Dedicated to the memory of the veterans of all wars by the family of Corporal Alice Collins Meigs." Below this wording is the seal of the Cherokee Nation Historical Society.

Alice Meigs was born 4/8/1923 and passed away 5/24/1974. She was a member of the U.S. Army Women's Army Corps.

A flagpole stands behind the plaque, however, no flag was flying at the time of our visit. The memorial is located in Ross Cemetery, the family cemetery of John Ross, Principal Chief of the Cherokee from 1828-1866.
