[FR] Dans la salle de ce musée dédiée aux guerres de réligion, des informations sont présentées sur l'Edit de Nantes qui accordait des droits de culte, des droits civils et des droits politiques aux protestants dans certaines parties du royaume et leur concédait, dans des annexes appelées « brevets », un certain nombre de places de sûreté (environ 150) et une indemnité annuelle à verser par les finances royales. La promulgation de cet édit mettait fin aux guerres de religion qui avaient ravagé le royaume de France au XVIe siècle.

The Edict of Nantes, signed probably on 30 April 1598, by Henry IV of France, granted the Calvinist Protestants of France (also known as Huguenots) substantial rights in the nation which was, at the time, still considered essentially Catholic.
