On Dec. 16, 1909, 13 people met to organize a new First Baptist Church close to downtown Carrollton. By 1910, a tabernacle was built at 1017 Erie St (SW Corner at Walnut St) on land donated by the Baptist Ladies Aid Society. In April 1914, a frame sanctuary was built at that location and a new brick auditorium replaced the old one Dec. 1957. First a multi-purpose building (in 1983), then a sanctuary auditorium (in 1986), were built at 2400 N Josey Ln, where the congregation still meets on its 100th Anniversary.
