DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1984 0.25 KM (0.15 MI) WEST ALONG CHURCH STREET FROM THE POST OFFICE IN BRENTWOOD, THENCE 2.2 KM (1.4 MI) SOUTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 31 TO THE MARK, SET IN TOP OF THE SOUTHEAST CONCRETE ABUTMENT OF THE BRIDGE OVER LITTLE HARPETH RIVER, 6.55 METERS (21.5 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY 31 NORTHBOUND, 12.07 METERS (39.6 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHWEST END OF A METAL GUARD RAIL, 1.37 METERS (4.5 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHWEST END OF THE ABUTMENT, 0.18 METERS (0.6 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST EDGE OF THE ABUTMENT, AND 2.43 METERS (8.0 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTHWEST EDGE OF THE SIDEWALK. THE MARK IS ABOVE LEVEL WITH HIGHWAY.
