The Hitchock Memorial Bandstand in Johnstone Park was built by Howard Hitchcock as a memorial to his mother in 1919.The bandstand has a circular base and a square roof supported by three uprights in each corner, the base is cement rendered and the roof is made of copper. Originally the bandstand stood in the middle of a small lake, but it was filled in many years ago
