At the 'Untere Hauptstraße' in Sulz am Neckar, Germany, Baden-Württemberg exists a fountain called 'Narrenbrunnen' (Fools Fountain).
It shows the sculptures of the traditional main figures of the local carneval: Optimist and Pessimist.
The fountain and the sculptures have been created in 1990.
The sculptures consist of bronze. They are created a bit less than life-sized.
The fountain and the sculptures have been a donation by the local carneval club to the people of Sulz am Neckar.
The fountain is in use from May to September. During the winter in Germany it is turned off.
