Im 16.Jh. befand sich in der Burgstraße in Aurich eine Wassermühle. Dieser historische Mühlstein erinnert daran. Im Zuge von Sanierungsarbeiten wurde der Mühlstein 2014 beschädigt, seitdem fehlt die Informationstafel.
In 16th century this was the location of a water mill. The old millstone had an info board reminding of this water mill, but this info board was accidentially destroyed during restauration work in 2014.
