The Clock Tower Memorial has direct associations with involvement of the district in the First and Second World Wars. It is also representative of the development that occurred in Coonabarabran during the 1920s. The memorial is a beautiful example of the monumental qualities of Art Deco design.

The tower is constructed in rusticated sandstone, has clocks on all four sides, is situated at the intersection of John and Dalgarno Streets & now surrounded by a round-a-bout.
