The memorial consists of a large granite cross affixed to the side of the Bismarck Tower. An inscription on the arm of the cross reads: GEGEN ALEE KRIEGE [English translation: AGAINST ALL WARS].
A plaque embedded on a rock near the base of the memorial cross reads:
