This memorial stone for the local painter and political cartoonist Marin Disteli is located in a small park in a residential zone in the south of Olten.
It is a large raw stone with a height of about three meters that has the inscription: "Disteli / Maler (painter) / 1802-1844".
Martin Disteli (1802-1844) was a painter and political cartoonist and one of the best known citizens of Olten. There is also another monument where he is mentioned, there is a street named after him and the local art museum was built around a large collection of his works.
