La technologie IMAX® Dôme (ou OMNIMAX) permet de projeter une image sur un écran hémisphérique couvrant un champ de vision de 180°, proche du champ de vision humain. Nous obtenons ainsi une image enveloppante que seul ce procédé est capable de restituer parfaitement.
Cette sphère, incluse dans un immense cube translucide incliné à 25°, figure une météorite tombée du ciel, intacte et délicatement incrustée dans le sol. A la fois transparent et réfléchissant, le pavillon représente le mariage de l’esprit et de la matière.
The IMAX® Dome technology (or Omnimax) for projecting an image onto a hemispherical screen covering a field of view of 180 °, similar to human vision. We obtain a wraparound picture that only this process is capable of reproducing perfectly.
This sphere, included in a huge translucent cube inclined at 25 °, figure a meteorite fell from the sky, intact and carefully inlaid in the ground. Both transparent and reflective, the pavilion represents the marriage of spirit and matter.
