Plaque located at the one quarter replica of the Hubble Space Telescope on the grounds of the Webster County Courthouse. Edwin Hubble spent some of his childhood in Marshfield. The plaque is inscribed:

Discover of external galaxies and the expanding universe.
The Hubble Space Telescope was named in his honor.
Launched from Cape Canaveral, FL – April 24, 1990.

Dedicated to the City of Marshfield by the
HUBBLE FAMILY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
at its 9th Biennial Reunion
