Pinetown Covered Bridge was built in 1867 by builder Elias McMellen. The bridge is a one span bridge, 135 feet 7 inches in length by 12 feet 9 inches in width.
During Huricane Agnes in 1972, Pinetown Covered bridge was one of its victims. This bridge, which originally cost $4,500 had to be rebuilt at a cost of $40,000. Most of the repair and replacement work was done by Amish carpenters.
Pinetown Covered Bridge is owned by Lancaster County, and is in good condition today.
The bridge is also known as, Nolt's Point Mill Bridge, Bushong's Mill Bridge, and Big Conestoga #6 Bridge.
