Nachází se na zacátku melkého závrtového údolí ve strední cásti Moravského krasu uprostred romantického palouku. Na mohutném kamenném bloku z nacervenalého slepence dovezeného sem z Babího lomu, je osazena cerná tabule s nápisem - Ing. Dr. h. c. Josef Opletal 1863-1953. Památník byl odhalen v roce 1959 pri oslavách 40. výrocí vzniku Lesnické fakulty v Brne, jehož byl Josef Opletal celním predstavitelem.

Located at the beginning of a shallow valley in the central part of the Moravský kras in a romantic glade. On the massive stone blocks of reddish conglomerates imported here from Babi quarry is equipped with a blackboard with the words - Ing. Dr. h. C. 1863-1953 Josef Opletal. The memorial was unveiled in 1959 during celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Forestry in Brno, which was Josef Opletal leading representative.
