Sold to John Butler in Oct. 1870 by Charles Crocker, trustee of the Centraal Pacific Railroad. Richard K Wayland, R PHA continued the business for 40 years from 1956 until 1996.
The plaques along N. Main Street were dedicated July 4, 1997 by the Colfax Area Historical Society.
The lower part was once trimmed in neon.
