Under the portico on the south side of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, alongside several bronze memorial plaques, is this granite memorial, which is imbedded into the stone wall. Besides its inscription, it contains relief sculpture by Lawrence Tenney Stevens (1896-1972).
The monument has a face sculpted at the top, on a set of horns, with a wide-bladed sword, beneath the engraved words "Akdar Temple - Tulsa - Oklahoma". On the right and left sides are pillars with sphinx-like creatures atop each. Three camels with riders are shown on the lower right, with two pyramids and a rising sun. The inscription is raised in the granite and reads:
Dedicated to the memory
of our beloved noble
Will Rogers
At the bottom is engraved:
October 16, 1948
